Three NME Nominations For U2

In the news again, U2 have received three nominations for this year's NME Awards, after failing to make it onto the Brits shortlist last month.
New York band The Strokes have been nominated for five awards, putting them top of the shortlists, ahead of Radiohead and Gorillaz with four nominations each.
U2 face competition from The Strokes, Radiohead, The Charlatans and White Stripes in the Best Group category.
The Best Album nominations are The Strokes for 'Is This It', Muse for 'Origin of Symmetry', Radiohead for 'Amnesiac', Slipknot for 'Iowa' and The Charlatans for 'Wonderland'. Formerly known as The Brats, the music magazine's awards will be held in London on 25 February, five days after the Brit awards.
