U2's Bono approached to write musical

(RTE.ie) -- U2's Bono and the Edge are reported to be in talks to write songs for a potential 'Spider-Man' musical.
According to Variety, producer Tony Adams and Marvel Comics have also approached Irish filmmaker and author Neil Jordan to write the script.
Julie Taymor, who directed the very successful Broadway show 'The Lion King', is said to be onboard to direct.
'Spider-Man 2', the film version of the comic book series, is due in Irish cinemas next Friday, 16 July.
